Patty Goforth

I love living with my family and 2 dogs in North Austin. When I am not out selling real estate, I enjoy volunteering with Refugee Services of Texas, hiking, biking, camping and planning my next trip out of the country!

As the Co-Founder and Co-Owner at E3 Properties and a second generation real estate broker, I lead the agency’s training program. I purchased my first property in 2000 and my first investment property in 2004. I co-founded e3 in 2008 with the goal of creating a brokerage focused on green principles and a sustainable work/life balance after working with a well-known international brokerage.

Prior to launching my real estate career, I worked in the nonprofit sector for the Center for Conflict Resolution (Nis, Serbia), Josephson Institute of Ethics (Marina Del Rey, CA) and the American Heart Association (Los Angeles, CA). I earned a B.A. in International Relations and Economics at the University of Delaware with an added specialty in Spanish. My experience with negotiations and conflict resolution work make me adept at resolving situations with out-of-the-box thinking. My commitment to my clients has earned me substantial testimonials, referrals and repeat business.

There are many realtors working in Austin but the second I chose Patty, I knew I made the right decision. Patty knows how to strike the perfect balance. She was a great listener and honored my wishes but wasn’t afraid to push back with ideas she knew I’d benefit from. She goes the extra mile and even went out of her way to purchase bedding and props she knew would positively influence the marketing photos. No matter what the field, there’s comfort created when you’re dealing with someone truly experienced. Patty’s vast knowledge of the Austin market allowed us to maximize the sales price and her ability to anticipate how the sale would progress was nothing short of impressive…she was spot on every step of the way. Patty was always punctual for our meetings and when she wasn’t available to pick up my call, she’d either return the call quickly or text me letting me know when she’d be free. In a time when it seems like many sales people will do almost anything to close a sale, I was left knowing that Patty’s and her profession’s code of ethics were never compromised. She’s the consummate professional who truly cares about her clients and her business practices treat both parties on opposite sides of the table with the utmost respect. Anyone would be lucky to have Patty on their team.

Patty has now seen me through three home transactions and I can’t imagine working with anyone better. I work in the title side of the real estate industry, but the listing/selling side of real estate was mysterious to me when we began. She was my agent while buying my first home, and since we were in an extremely competitive housing market, this meant acting quickly and decisively. When we finally got a contract on the house, there ended up being major legal issues that turned nightmarish, but Patty was there every time making sure that nothing slipped through the cracks, and after a lot of time and hard work, we got my house! A few years later, I downsized and bought a condo from a friend, and she worked diligently with both me and the seller, which can be tricky for a realtor but Patty handled it with ease and made it the smoothest transaction possible. Then it was time to sell my house, and that’s when I saw her incredible listing skills, which is a very different ballgame from representing a buyer. She did a complete tour of my house, gave me detailed notes on every square inch and how I could improve the place to maximize my profits, laid out her proven marketing plan, and provided excellent recommendations for home services like landscaping and painting to bring my home up to date. She was always there whenever I had a concern, and she rescued me several times when I was in a crisis, always positive, patient, and confident. In the end, her incredible efforts landed me not only what I listed the house for with multiple offers in the first 24 hours, but it ended up selling for close to $10,000 more than I thought it would sell for. Patty is a consummate professional with a stellar network of contacts, rockstar customer service, and amazing industry knowledge and instincts. She’s my realtor for life! 🙂

Patricia Goforth is a rarity in today’s world. We had the opportunity to work with Patricia on more than one occasion as our agent, first when looking for a home to lease and then to find a property to purchase. Her professionalism, responsiveness, depth of knowledge, and care and understanding when listening to our requirements and hopes was beyond any that we’ve had the opportunity to encounter in Real Estate before. She truly looks out for her clients and makes both the rental and home buying experience an easy and enjoyable one. I can’t recommend her services highly enough.

Patty has been nothing short of amazing as a Realtor. She listened to what I wanted and worked well with my very full schedule. She explained everything to me in terms that I understood so that I could make more informed decisions about my house. Purchasing a home can be an incredibly stressful situation, especially for first time buyers. Patty has helped make my huge transition to homeowner as smooth as possible and I would definitely work with her again or recommend her to anyone looking for a house.
